If you try to install CentOS on your machine and get this error, there are nothing wrong with your disk. It’s just files name that are miss matching. You should rename these files with the “TRANS.TBL” file names. If you are using USB drive then you can directly edit this but if you burned a DVD then it is not possible to edit containt of DVD, you have to make these changes in your ISO before burning it. Follow our step by step guide to resolve this problem.
The files under the /repodata folder are missing their file extensions and are not matching their full names in the “TRANS.TBL” file, under this same dir.
Open “TRANS.TBL” File:

Rename all the files to match what is in the “TRANS.TBL” file contain.
Once it’s done, then try the install over again.
