Team Win Recovery Project (Redmi 1S TWRP) 2.8.6.0 Official is a replacement recovery option for the Redmi 1s smartphone. With the help of custom recovery, you can install custom ROMs on your device. This guide will help you to install the TWRP Recovery on Redmi 1s. Before following this guide do take the full backup of your phone and read all the instructions very carefully. – Check your device model Settings -> About phone -> Model number.
– Ensure the battery of the phone is charged more than 80 percent. If your device is switched off during this process, it could damage or brick the device.
– Make a backup of all your important data before following the guide.
TWRP RECOVERY ON REDMI 1S / Fastboot Install Method (No Root Required):
Step 1. Download the Minimal ADB and Fastboot from this link and install them. Windows users will need proper drivers installed on their computers. You can try the Naked ADB drivers or the Universal ADB drivers if you don’t already have a working driver installed.
Step 2. Download the TWRP recovery from this link and save it on your desktop.
Step 3. Start your phone in fasboot mode by pressing and holding the “Volume Down + Power” button together. You should now be in fastboot mode.

Note: many devices will replace your custom recovery automatically during the first boot. To prevent this use the proper key combo to enter recovery. After typing fastboot reboot, press and hold the “Volume Up + Power” and boot to TWRP. Once TWRP is booted, TWRP will patch the stock ROM to prevent the stock ROM from replacing TWRP. If you don’t follow this step, you will have to repeat the installation.
